CA Great White Shark Attack - A surfer in California miraculously survived a brutal shark attack after being dragged off the coast. The surfer has been identified as Kevin Swanson. Swanson has already been airlifted to a nearby hospital following the attack.
Thankfully, the CA great white shark attack involving Swanson's injuries weren't life-threatening. No arteries were hit during the shark attack. According to Andrew Walsh, Swanson's friend who was surfing alongside him during the attack, the shark suddenly appeared under Swanson's board.
Swanson was grabbed during the CA great white shark attack. After a few seconds, Swanson resurfaced before shouting he had been attacked by the shark. Walsh then began paddling to the shore along with Swanson. He noticed Swanson had fashioned a tourniquet with the use of the cord from the surfboard.
Luckily, after the CA great white shark attack, Swanson had immediate medical attention from two doctors who happened to pass by the area. The doctors quickly examined Swanson before calling 911.
"We're really blessed that he was still able to get himself to shore," shares Walsh in a report by FOX News. "I was a few feet behind him, and we grabbed him and got him ... up on the sand, and very quickly these doctors were there, helping out and calling 911."
Even after the CA great white shark attack, the beach remains open to the public. The sign warning about shark attacks will remain to be put up for the sake of the public's safety. While this attack is certainly not rare according to state park ranger, Robert Colligan, claims sharks are spotted several times in a year in the area.
As for the CA great white shark attack that left Swanson alive with non-threatening injuries, such incident was not as lucky for another woman in the year 2003. A woman was killed during a shark attack 10 miles where Swanson was dragged off by the great white.
