Arsenal's manager contacted Sergio Ramos' agent for a possible transfer, International Business Times reported.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger communicated with the agent of Real Madrid's asset, Sergio Ramos for a possible transfer. Journalist Manuel Esteban Manolete said that Wenger contacted the agent in the radio show La Goleada.
"Wenger has called Rene Ramos, the agent and brother of Sergio Ramos," the journalist said.
According to reports, Ramos could leave his current team and join the Arsenals once the contract is settled. Ramos is one of the most impressive players in recent seasons.
The team's current standing further fuelled speculations that the transfer might happen. Wenger admitted that Arsenal lacked leadership.
"They should be talking, yes. Maybe they do talk but it doesn't look like that when you look at the pictures. Of course it's important to have someone organising. You want somebody to take the leadership there," Wenger said.
With leadership goals in mind and a big budget on hand, Wenger will probably have a lot of transfer targets aside from Ramos. A whopping €26 million is reportedly available to spend on new members, according to Goal.
"There's a huge difference between the perception that people have of me: I'm not scared to spend money," the manager confirmed.
Other transfer targets includes Ipswich Town player Tyrone Mings, who is a great defender but may become centre-half as time goes by.
Krystian Bielik is also a good catch since Arsenal needs a good midfielder. Reporter James Olley said that Arsenal is allegedly intrigued with Beielik's abilities, according to Bleacher Report.
"Bielik has made just six appearances for Legia-including a Europa League debut against Trabzonspor earlier this month-and can play as a defensive midfielder but has also been scouted as a potential centre-back," Olley revealed.
Arsenal is also reportedly targeting Newcastle Unitedm player Mousa Sissoko. The player previously revealed that Arsenal is his dream team. Sissoko has a great potential and Wenger must hurry up if he is a target.
Meanwhile, Arsenal has a schedule of games as 2015 starts. Fans may purchase their tickets here.
