A fake story about a "Sons of Anarchy" movie starring Brad Pitt went viral, International Business Times reported.
A false news about Kurt Sutter announcing a "Sons of Anarchy" movie starring Brad Pitt went viral on the Internet. Followers of the series went crazy over the supposed announcement.
Jt Williams with username @ThrowingBombs tweeted: "There is possibly going to be a Sons of Anarchy movie?! Whaaaat yes!"
Twitter user Karen Close with username @RockyCat54 even thanked Sutter and wrote: "@sutterink: Brad Pitt isn't cheap, you know.... https://bit.ly/1CLmpmX " @SOAAddicts @Jax_Tara Best Christmas present ever!! Thank you Kurt"
Levi Gatrost with the same username also reacted and posted: "They are making a Sons of Anarchy movie, that's the greatest news I've heard in a long time.@MCWinters24"
The fans' reactions are based on the false report by satirical website Empire News that Sutter announced the "Sons of Anarchy" movie plans in an interview with "Hollywood Today" magazine.
"People absolutely loved the show, as did I, and I have put a lot of thought into the matter, and we are going forward with turning it into a feature film" Sutter supposedly said.
The false report also talked about the director's excitement to get Pitt to play as the motorcycle club founder John Teller in the "Sons of Anarchy" film, Inquisitr reported.
"I am most excited about bringing Brad (Pitt) on as John Teller, he is absolutely perfect for the role. The movie will take place from the day Jax was born, and leads up to the era just before Sons Of Anarchy began as a series," Sutter supposedly added.
According to the false report, the movie will start production in the middle of 2015 and will hit theatres before the year ends.
To make the fans calm down, the director tweeted: "I am so pleased to announce Puns of Anarchy."
"Sons of Anarchy" fans may be upset that the movie report is fake since they miss the series that ended this month. However, they can still witness another Sutter creation entitled "The Bastard Executioner" that will premiere in 2015.
