MEL B has turned to her ex Eddie Murphy for advice following her reported split from Stephen Belafonte.
The former Spice Girl - who is thought to have as of late called time on her association with Stephen, 39 - is said to have contacted the US conceived star in an arrangement of transoceanic telephone calls, in which he has prompted "all her calm" and "stay classy".
A source told a daily paper: "Eddie has told her to keep a lid on her feelings publicly. Stephen is the one doing all the talking and all the begging for her to go back to him.
"But Eddie has told her to keep quiet, stay classy and only talk when she has something to say."
Eddie, 53, part from Mel in 2006 and requested she take a paternity test to demonstrate he was the father of her little girl Angel, seven, in any case, taking after the test's sure match, the pair have since gotten to be companions.
Additionally fast to demonstrate his backing to Mel in the wake of her part from Stephen is her kindred X Factor judge and show supervisor Simon Cowell.
The 55-year-old music tycoon has pledged to be there for the 39-year-old vocalist in whatever way he can.
An insider said: "He called as soon as he realized she was in trouble.
Simon has become near to Mel and needs to do all that he can to help her get past this.
"He doesn't just see himself as a boss - he likes to think his TV judges consider him a friend."
Despite the fact that Simon has been going through some downtime with better half Lauren Silverman, 37, and their ten-month-old child Eric in Barbados, the source says Simon is simply a telephone summon if Mel needs his help and backing.
A source clarified: "He is enjoying the break after a hectic series of X Factor. Being with his family at Christmas and relaxing in the sun is the perfect downtime for Simon.
"But he's made it clear to Mel she is more than welcome to get in touch if she needs his help. He meant it when he said he'd be there for her - whenever she needed it."
A representative for Mel declined to remark.
