Nina Dobrev is at it again: falling for an on-screen bad guy and "Vampire Diaries" co-actor. Nope! This time it's not her on-again, off-again lover Ian Somerhalder.
According to International Business Times, Dobrev, who plays Elena Gilbert in the hit vampire-themed series, is indeed attracted to the bad guys. However, since both Stefan and Damon are already the goody-good Salvatore brothers in the series, she may be ditching both hunks for the actor behind psychopath killer Kai, Chris Wood.
It appears that though Wood has brought some troublesome moments for Dobrev on-screen - given what happened to Damon and Bonnie this season - the latter is gravitating towards the former off-screen.
Reports surfaced late last week that the Vampire Diaries Season 6 co-actors were seen canoodling in public.
While many are anticipating for the twosome to finally get serious and announce their relationship, an insider for HollywoodLife has learned that both Dobrev and Wood are not looking for commitments as of late.
"They are great friends who have hooked up on the recent times they have been out together but they are not currently looking to start a relationship," said the insider. "They are both very cool about it and it has not ruined working with each other or caused any issues."
Whether or not Dobrev and Wood will move forward to a more serious romance is still uncertain, but it's obvious that the actress has moved on from her ex Ian Somerhalder, whom she dated for nearly three years.
The romance between Dobrev and Somerhalder reportedly ended badly, but they have remained professional in dealing with each other for their hit TV series.
Interestingly, while Nina Dobrev may be enjoying her time with Chris Wood nowadays, Ian has already moved forward with his dating life with "Twilight" star Nikki Reed, reports Inquisitr.
Reed is Dobrev's BFF until she and Somerhalder went public about their romance. Sources even claim that Dobrev is not at all pleased that Reed is visiting the TVD set every now and then.
