Stevie Wonder baby girl Nia is the internationally famous singer's ninth child and the second one he has with present girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy.
The 64-year-old "True to Your Heart" musician is actually a proud father to eight other children whom he had with his previous relationships. He had actually confirmed that he was expecting another child when he appeared on "The View" last month.
Previous reports said that he and Bracy were expecting triplets. However, it later turned out that the reports were false and that it was actually going to be Stevie Wonder baby girl. He said, "I got, how many? 22 kids? It's not true. The truth is we're going to have a wonderful daughter, born in December, and her name is going to be Nia, which is 'purpose.'"
According to Wonder's representative confirmed that the newborn baby girl's name, indeed, means "purpose," which is actually "one of the seven principles of Kwanzaa."
The popular Grammy winner used to be married to Syreeta Wright from years 1970 to 1971 and to Karen Millard Morris or Kai from 2001 to 2012.
His first child, Aisha Morris, was actually who Wonder had in mind while he was writing "Isn't She Lovely" in 1975.
Wonder and Bracy only got together after the "Superstition" singer divorced from Morris in 2012, after being married to her for 11 years. During his marriage with Morris, he fathered sons Kailand and Mandla Kadjay. Also, in 1983, he fathered his son Mumtaz, whom he had with his then-girlfriend Melody McCulley.
Despite now having nine children, including the recent Stevie Wonder baby girl, the famous musician makes it a point to maintain a good relationship with all of them. A source informed Page Six earlier this year, "Aisha, his oldest, enjoys her dad quite a bit. They get together and eat and joke."
The tipster then added, "He's been helping his son Mumtaz with some of Mumtaz's music and he always talks about how talented his son is."
