The controversy doesn't stop after new leaked emails from Sony executives reveal insults against celebrities. This time, "Titanic" star Leonardo DiCaprio and Will Smith's children are the targets.
Leonardo DiCaprio was called "despicable" in one of the newly leaked emails from Sony, while Jaden and Willow Smith were criticized, according to Mail Online.
Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal has hit the headlines again after the Angelina Jolie incident. In the leaked emails released on Saturday, Pascal called DiCaprio "despicable" after the actor dropped out from one of Sony's movies, featuring the biography of Steve Jobs, Cosmopolitan reported.
"Was this about the deal ... or did he just change his mind," the movie producer Mark Gordon asked Pascal on Sep. 18. Pascal responded, "the latter" in which Gordon replied "horrible behavior." Pascal corrected him and said, "actually despicable."
The Steve Jobs role was then given to Michael Fassbender, after Christian Bale declined as well. The movie, which originated at Sony, was later taken by Universal Pictures, according to Variety. The company refused to give a comment about the issue.
The emails also involved the Smith children. Tom Rothman, who is the head of TriStar productions, sent a message to Sony Pictures Entertainment president Doug Belgard on Nov. 18 after the release of T Magazine's interview with Willow and Jaden Smith.
The email read, "1. Read this 2. they r home schooled: don't let this family date your movies!!!" Rothman also forwarded a link to the interview.
"Here's the deal," Jaden responded to the question about education in the interview. "School is not authentic because it ends. It's not true, it's not real. Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to."
Willow agreed with her brother. "Kids who go to normal school are so teenagery, so angsty," the "After Earth" actor continued.
Will Smith, the father of Willow and Jaden, is considered one of the biggest contributors to Sony, according to Variety. Mr. Smith has been working with the studio since 1997 when he appeared in the movie "Men in Black." Currently, Mr. Smith is collaborating with Sony in a new project called "Untitled NFL Concussion Drama," Pedestrian reported. Fans are anticipating how the project goes after the leaked emails have been revealed.
