Elle Fanning - After playing the beautiful princess Aurora from "Maleficent," the former blonde actress has ditched her gorgeous look for a somewhat shocking new appearance. The actress first got her hair dyed a shade of red before having it chopped to that of a boys cut. All this for her new film. "Three Generations."
In the film, Elle Fanning joins Naomi Watts and Susan Sarandon. The film centers on Watts, a single mom, having to raise her only daughter as a son. The drama film is set to be directed by Gaby Dellal with screenwriter, Nikole Beckwith on board.
The cast had already been spotted in the lower east side of Manhattan last month with Elle Fanning sporting a huge bruise on her left eye. Not to worry though as this was all for the film. Fanning, with her iconic red short hair, completed the boyish get-up with baggy pants, a green jacket, and rubber shoes.
This look is certainly a far cry from Elle Fanning's dolled up character in the Disney film opposite Angelina Jolie. With regards to her fashion sense, the 16-year old star talked about her changing styles.
"I used to be a lot girlier than I am now-the collared shirts and frilly short dresses," shares Fanning to US magazine, adding, "I guess every girl kind of goes through that stage. Now I'm definitely willing to be more boyish and a little more sleek."
For those who have yet to see Elle Fanning's shocking transformation from "Maleficent" to "Three Generations," Daily Mail has compiled a number of photos off the set. The film is set to hit theaters by 2015.
As for Elle Fanning's older sister, Dakota Fanning, the actress was recently spotted at a Miami-Knicks game with an older date in tow. Dakota watched the game with her father which of course prompted a number of Web sites to gush about the stars' good-looking dad.
