Emily Blunt movies star was nominated for a Golden Globe on Thursday. Although she was half a world away, the "Edge of Tomorrow" actress shared about how she found out about the Golden Globe nomination that she got.
She was in the Middle East for the first time as she was selected to be a judge at the Dubai International Film Festival. However, she was actually having some R&R at a local spa when she heard that she was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, for her participation in "Into the Woods."
The amazingly beautiful actress told ET, "My friends were there with me and I shouted it through the shower to them."
Plus, Emily Blunt movies star also added that the photographers whom she got to work with during her stay in Dubai were much nicer and more polite than the ones she has encountered in the West. She shared, "They are very respectful over here. I didn't get yelled at."
It would appear that Blunt has a lot on her plate of late. Apart from her back-to-back films, she is also a busy mother to her daughter.
She might have played the role of a baker's wife who is eager to have kids of her own in "Into the Woods," but the real-life Blunt is actually already a mother of one, after giving birth to a baby girl last February.
According to Emily Blunt movies star, motherhood is "that and more." She even told People that she perceives of motherhood as a "heaven" for her. "You don't know what to expect because it's just completely, existentially out of anything that you've ever experienced before, and it's quite indescribable," she shared.
Blunt and her husband, John Krasinski, welcomed their baby girl, Hazel, just last February. Although transitioning to her real-life role as a mother was quite easy for her, she did not feel the same way for her role in the new Disney musical.
"I was really, really nervous - reluctant, even, to the point of not wanting to audition for it," Emily Blunt movies star revealed.
