Whatever Erica Flynn is up to spells trouble and Patrick Jane must watch out for her as he protects the love of his life.
Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) scrambled to keep Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) safe as she pretended as an inmate in "The GreyBar Hotel," only to meet another woman who might bring more chaos to their lives again.
In the second episode of the "The Mentalist" season 7, Dennis Abott (Rockmond Dunbar) confronted Cole Foster's girlfriend Marie Flanagan. Marie refused to speak and even said that she'd go to hell for her boyfriend so it didn't matter if she was to go to prison. Abott sent her to jail and headed to execute plan B.
The plan involved Teresa entering the prison as an undercover agent. Patrick taught Teresa how to lie since she had to tell a big one. She wore an orange jumpsuit and was told that she would be sharing a cell with Marie. Her task is to get Marie to tell them where Cole is currently located. As Patrick placed the cuffs around Teresa's wrists, he told her that he'd wait for her. After which, a police car took Teresa to the women's jail.
Teresa wasn't able to get Marie's trust in the first meeting but eventually, as Teresa shared her own dilemma, Marie also opened up. Patrick visited Teresa and told her to breakout of prison with Marie.
Teresa told Marie the plan and Marie, who wanted to get out of prison as soon as possible, agreed to the plan. They successfully exited the women's jail and Teresa was taken with Marie to Cole's hideout.
The FBI followed their tracks and when Teresa was caught in the scene while arresting Cole, Patrick stepped in to protect her. Everything went smoothly after and Cole was taken to custody.
However, at the end of the episode, Patrick saw a familiar face that has once haunted him. Erica Flynn has been pardoned to take part on a mission and to make matters worse, he was assigned to work with her.
Morena Baccarin will re-appear in the show in Dec. 14 as she reprise her role in the next episode entitled "Orange Blossom Ice Cream."
