The federal autopsy on Brown's death after the Ferguson police shooting derived into the same conclusion-the same as the one conducted by local officials and a private examiner-according to the documents.
It was the request of the Department of Justice for the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System to conduct another autopsy on Brown. Documents in Brown's case include the transcripts of the eight federal interviews of possible witnesses, police radio traffic, and an alleged audio recording of the shots fired.
According to the Justice Department autopsy, Brown died from multiple gunshot wounds. Alongside with this, he had severe head and chest injuries. The minor gunshot wound that was found in Brown's right hand was said to be an evidence of close range discharge of a firearm.
The local grand jury was told by Wilson that his gun went off during the fight with Brown through the open window of his police car before the 18-year-old was shot. In line with this, a separate civil rights investigation is being conducted by the Justice Department.
The grand jury documents were all reviewed and released but it seemed to exclude the transcript or the recording of the two-hour FBI and county police interview with Dorian Johnson-Brown's friend-who was with him when he was shot.
Nonetheless, the first batch of documents included the seven video clips of Johnson's interviews by the media as well as the transcript of his testimony to the grand jury. He was walking with Brown along the street when they encountered Wilson on the street. Brown was fatally shot even though he was unarmed. However, according to Wilson, Brown was the aggressor in the scene.
