The Matt Bellamy-Kate Hudson split is making a huge buzz this week after insiders gushed that the couple's breakup may have been due to alleged third party "Dancing With The Stars" pro Derek Hough.
Perez Hilton was first to report that Kate Hudson's split from Matthew Bellamy is final and that the 35-year-old actress is already seeing Derek Hough.
While it wasn't made clear when Hudson and Hough started dating (behind Bellamy's back) it isn't hard to see that the "Bride Wars" star and the DWTS pro dancer have developed something way back in 2013 when the former decided to engage into ballroom dancing with the latter.
"My heart is really in contemporary jazz, but lately I've been ballroom dancing with Derek Hough. It's been a real blast," Hudson was quoted saying of her bonding with Hough last year.
Over the weekend, Hough and Hudson spent some quality time together at the Nice Guy Restaurant in El Lay, where eyewitnesses saw them "ate, drank and stayed way past closing."
Then on Monday, the actress' rep confirmed to the media that she and Bellamy are no more, ending their three-year engagement silently.
"Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now," Kate's rep told People. "Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."
Hudson and Bellamy are parents to Bingham Hawn,3, and the actress is also a mother to her 10-year-old son with ex-husband Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, Ryder.
Kate Hudson's split from Bellamy comes more than three years after they got engaged in the summer of 2010, according to Daily Mail.
The "Almost Famous" actress is yet to personally address the issue as of late, but back in October, she already hinted that she doesn't want to get married.
"My parents aren't married," she told Women's Health at the time. "And one of the reasons why they never got married is because they had been married before and they liked it the way it was. They didn't feel like they needed a piece of paper to be committed."
