He played the role of a genius who tried and succeeded in cracking the Nazi's Enigma Code-which is known to be unbreakable-thus shortening the WWII by two years.

Now he is to make magic as Doctor Strange in theaters on November 2016. According to Feige, Cumberbatch is really fit for the role because being Doctor Strange requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity, and he believes the British man has these.
This would definitely be another breakthrough for Benedict Cumberbatch as he is now in the Oscar hunt. Aside from him being on the movie, Doctor Strange will be star-studded as the production staff would be as solid as the casting. It will be directed by Scott Derickson who has earned credits in directing Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and Deliver Us From Evil; while Jon Spaiths will be writing the screenplay. The casting is an ideal choice given the fact that Benedict Cumberbatch really gives time and effort in researching and internalizing his role in every project that he is making. Now this is a role that he deserves having.
Cumberbatch would be playing the role of a neurosurgeon who eventually becomes a Sorcerer Supreme protecting the Earth. This would be another film worth waiting for.
