'Looking' Season 2 Trailer: 'Dirty Little Secrets' Emerge [WATCH]

"Looking" has more secrets to tell as Patrick and his friends continue their journey on the next season.

A new chapter will unfold in the second season of "Looking," introducing a new character in the following year, TowerLoad reported.

HBO has released a trailer for "Looking" season 2 on Thursday. The 90-second teaser presents the original cast going camping out in the woods and Patrick (Jonathan Groff) being indecisive between his recent ex-lover Richie (Raul Castillo) and Kevin (Russell Tovey), whom he slept with in the last episode. The trailer also introduces a new member of the show, which will be portrayed by "Mean Girls" star Daniel Franzese.

The San Francisco-based gay drama was created by Michael Lannan and was produced by David Marshall Grant and Andrew Haigh. The show depicts a gay man in his thirties, who is struggling in his professional and personal life.

Before the first season of "Looking" was released, Haigh expressed his doubts about the show's success in an interview with The Atlantic.

"I can't imagine it working," Haigh said. "HBO has given us the freedom to explore things that wouldn't be OK to explore on a network show. In terms of language and sexuality and honesty and realism-you just wouldn't be able to do it. There would be a lot of pressure to make it funny or make it something that we didn't want the story to be."

When he was asked about his expectations for the premiere, Haigh responded with uncertainty.

"You never know what the reaction's going to be," the producer said. "There will be people who like it, and people who don't like it. Hopefully people will watch it, and it will resonate, and people will want to go on the journey with these characters."

Despite the team's reluctance in producing "Looking," the viewers received the show well, saying that it has done a great job in "highlighting the contemporary gay experience of three friends in San Francisco," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Groff, Castillo and Tovey will reprise their characters in the second season together with the other members of the cast, such as Frankie Alvarez and Murray Bartlett.

"Looking" season 2 is set to premiere on Jan. 11 in 2015.
