Fans will no longer see Beth in "The Walking Dead," which makes them wonder how this will affect Daryl Dixon.
Emily Kinney will no longer appear in "The Walking Dead" series after her character was killed off in Sunday's episode, according to Deadline.
Beth Greene, who was portrayed by Kinney, was shot to death after stabbing Dawn (Christine Woods). Fans weren't surprised though, since it was already predicted, Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported. The loss of another member, however, left viewers wonder how the rest of the group will cope up, especially Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) who have been the closest to Beth.
Meanwhile, Kinney expressed her sadness in leaving the show through an interview with TV Line. Kinney has known that her character will be killed off since late August. She wasn't able to read her script right away after she was told.
"I didn't really feel like reading it," Kinney said while crying. "Also, the next day, I still had all of Episode 5.07 to shoot. All of the Beth scenes you saw last week were done in two days of shooting. So I wasn't anxious to read the next script."
When she was asked for an explanation of her character's death in the TV series, she wasn't really sure why.
"I think the whole point is there is no rhyme or reason to the deaths on the show," Kinney explained. It's like real-life. Why does that person die as opposed to other people? We really don't quite know why."
The 29-year-old actress was also questioned about the possible outcome of Beth's relationship with Daryl.
"They never really told us what it was supposed to be," Kinney answered. "I think it was a situation where they were getting to know each other. First, they were just trying to get along at all, because I don't think that they saw each other's point of view very well. And then as the story went along they maybe became friends, and I do think that it started to sort of go, 'Oh, what more could this be? Could it keep going into something else?'"
AMC has released a short teaser promoting the 9th episode of "The Walking Dead" season 5. In the 33-second promo video, Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Baby Judith, Carol (Melissa McBride), and Daryl were presented walking on a deserted road while the voiceover hinted a new destination the group is heading to.
"The Walking Dead" will return on Feb. 8 the following year on AMC.
