Ever since its launch, users have been complaining about the bugs in Samsung Galaxy S4. Fortunately, many tech sites provided solutions to fix these glitches.
Samsung Galaxy S4 launch was considered a "disaster" after users found several issues when using the smartphone, TrustedReviews reported.
After receiving Android 4.4.2 update, Samsung Galaxy S4 users reported glitches, such as short battery life and screen issues.
Battery drain has been a major issue for Galaxy S4 users, according to Venture Capital Post. Some have only been able to use the handset for 10 hours compared to the usual three days. Although this shouldn't come as a shock because of the many power-consuming apps and the device's powerful screen, users have complained that the battery drains quickly right after a firmware update.
Solutions have been made available though. Several sites instruct users to pull out the battery for a few seconds and restart the phone after putting the battery on to prevent draining the battery fast. Installed apps were also reckoned to be responsible for eating battery life. Users can check which apps have large battery usage by going to Settings, Tap More then Battery.
When there's something physically wrong with the battery, users might experience problems worse than battery drain, such as overheating. A bulge in the battery indicates a problem and must be replaced immediately.
Reports about unexpected reboots have also been addressed. The fault could be the loose battery connection or the device's software. It is suggested to check the phone and app updates to see if they are the cause of the restarts. Adding a memory card is also considered a culprit for the device's rebooting.
Galaxy S4 owners also complained about the camera application closing unexpectedly, not displaying images properly, and behaving improperly when taking photos. This could be caused by a full memory card. To check if the memory card causes the glitch, remove the memory card and use the camera app. Users can also try clearing the applications' caches.
Users also reported bugs when they try to connect to wireless internet connection. Weak Wifi signal could be the problem. If not, users can disable Wifi Power Save mode by going to their dialer and typing the code *#0011# so they can enter Service mode. Then, they must tap the menu key and select the Wifi option where they can turn off the Power Save mode.
Solutions for glitches in GMS, FM radio and others have been posted all over the internet as well.
