Reese Witherspoon 'Wild' Film Another Chance At An Oscar Award? [VIDEO & REPORT]

Reese Witherspoon "Wild" - After playing the perky attorney in "Legally Blonde," Reese Witherspoon's latest film "Wild" is more on the serious side of life. Judging from the great feedback she's been getting for her impeccable acting in the said film, Witherspoon just might win her another Oscar award.

Unlike "Legally Blonde," Reese Witherspoon in "Wild" is as serious as it gets. Thrust into the world where only one can depend on yourself for survival, Witherspoon takes viewers on the chaotic and insane ride of the outdoors all while battling personal demons.

Witherspoon has already nabbed an Oscar award for her performance in the 2005 film "Walk the Line." Now, film critics claim that Reese Witherspoon's "Wild" is yet another "wild" card for the best actress category in the upcoming Oscar Awards.

For those who have yet to see Reese Witherspoon's "Wild" film, the movie is based on the best-selling memoir of Cheryl Strayed in 2012. The memoir recounts the 1,100 mile solo hike across the Pacific Crest Trail with treks through the wilds of Washington State and California's Mojave Desert.

In Reese Witherspoon's "Wild," viewers will go alongside the journey based on Strayed's life back when she was 26. It was her attempt at self-actualization to pull out of her sex and heroine-addiction. Strayed had fallen into the evils of heroine after the death of her mom from cancer.

Reese Witherspoon's "Wild" is directed by Jean-Marc Vallée with the screenplay written by renowned author, Nick Hornby. As for why Witherspoon had jumped in on the film, the actress claimed she grew tired of watching films without a female lead.

"Other than one studio, literally one, nobody was developing anything with a female lead," says Witherspoon. "It just hit me like a ton of bricks. And I was so mad. And then I thought: "Why am I so upset about this? Why don't I do something about it?""

Check out Reese Witherspoon in "Wild" and decide if her performance is indeed worthy of yet another Oscar Award.
