An early Christmas treat was given to iPhone users, who have been itching to download free apps from iTunes, after some of the paid applications became free to download recently.
Eight paid applications are made free for a limited time extending the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, according to BGR.
First on the list is "Maps.Me." "Maps.Me" is an iOS application that displays detailed maps of all the countries in the world, even without internet connection. The application, which normally retails at $4.99, has been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch and Washington Post. It has been considered the "top one travel app in more than 100 countries" and has been downloaded over 7 million times worldwide, according to Yahoo Tech.
"Coinverter," another travel app, has been featured by Apple as "one of the most Smart Travel Tools on the App Store in 60 countries." It is easy to use and includes 160 world currencies. It also automatically updates the currency rates via its server once it's connected to the internet. The application has been sold for $0.99.
"Dock Clock," which has been designed and developed exclusively for iOS 7, features custom alarms and weather reports. The user can interact with the app through touch, tap and shaking. "Dock Clock" is normally priced at $1.99.
"Aisle," which normally costs $0.99, solves consumer problems when visiting the supermarket. It organizes shopping lists into categories and includes progress tracking.
Users who love to take pictures are encouraged to download "Instaflash Pro," a photo editing tool that gives user more control in enhancing images. The applications includes photo adjustments, such as shadows, highlights, light EQ, tone EQ, and more. iPhone users can save $4.99 if they download the application now.
An app for ringtones is also made available. Saving $0.99, users can personalize their iPhones with their own ringtones, text tones and other alert tones with "Ringtones for iPhone."
Gamers are also given a treat since "Mini Motor Racing," which normally costs $0.99, and "Doodle Run," which also costs $0.99, are released for download without charge as well.
The applications will be available for a limited time only. It is unknown when the promo will end that's why iPhone users are encouraged to download their desired apps quickly before the time runs out.
