A "Let It Go" puppy video posted on Nov. 23 has become a hit sensation on the internet. Currently, the Let It Go puppy video has garnered almost 2 million views since it was posted a week ago.
A year after the Disney hit "Frozen" showed in theatres, the song "Let It Go" quickly hit the airwaves. It may have received the attention of the public even after many months following its debut but now, it's clearly a thing of the past.
Not for the canine in this Let It Go puppy video though. This puppy just can't seem to let go of the song.
The name of the pet in this Let It Go puppy video is Oakley, and Oakley loves Idina Menzel's "Frozen" mega-hit so much that a nap will not stop him from singing along to the song.
The Let It Go puppy video begins with Oakley sleeping, seemingly having a comfortable ride at the back of the car, until he hears the first few notes of the hit song. Soon, the furry star's eyes pops open and Idina Menzel's voice fills the entire vehicle.
It may appear at first that Let It Go puppy video would resume with Oakley listening to the song, but this car song isn't a solo performance. As Oakley perked up his ears and the moment the song actually begins, the adorable puppy howled along with Menzel.
Dogs howl all the time, and Oakley howling in the Let It Go puppy video may either mean that he likes the song or he doesn't.
According to the Huffington Post, dogs howling along to songs isn't an entirely new phenomenon.
Veterinarian Pete Wedderburn answered a question in 2011 whether a dog's howling might indicate a like or dislike for certain kinds of music.
"Howling is a natural communication method for dogs ... If your dog strongly disliked the music, I think she'd try to leave the room. It's more likely that the soprano is hitting notes that remind your dog of another dog howling, and she's joining in joyfully. It's a bit like a human singing along to a favorite song on the radio," Wedderburn explained.
There's no doubt about it though, the Let It Go puppy video shows that Oakley doesn't give a care in the world what his jam is, and "Let It Go" is among it.
