Months have passed since HTC One M8 release yet smartphone fans are already anticipating for its successor.
Leaked information suggested that the upcoming HTC One M9 will exceed its predecessor, according to Design and Trend.
New sources have emerged claiming that HTC's next smartphone release will feature the latest technology and trending designs. HTC has been known to produce beautiful smartphone models each year, which are a little smaller compared to other smartphones. Rumors have arisen, however, that HTC One M9 will break the custom.
There have been claims that the next HTC One will feature a massive 5.5-inch screen with Quad HD resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. HTC will also supposedly add a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM.
While HTC One M8 was released with 4-megapixel rear sensor, HTC One M9 is rumored to offer a 16-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization, according to Best Topics. Furthermore, imaging specialist Symon Whitehorn has stated that "optical zooming in a smartphone is not too far off at all for HTC."
"I can't give too much away, but within 12-18 months we'll see huge advances in phone optics," Whitehorn said.
Rumors also reported HTC One M9 opting for Bose speakers, leaving behind the previous smartphones' BoomSound speaker.
Since Android 5.0 Lollipop is now available, it is almost certain that the upcoming HTC One will run on it.
Regarding its price, it is expected that the next HTC One will be a tad expensive. HTC One devices started at around $500 and the latest HTC One release retailed at $550 when it was launched. Thus, HTC One M9 is speculated to cost around $600.
HTC hasn't announced the official release of HTC One M9, but speculations suggested that the company will release its flagship phone at the same time with the Mobile World Congress next year. The Mobile World Congress in 2015 will take place between March 3 and March 5.
