Kosta Karageorge body found near campus. The Ohio State defensive lineman was reported missing Wednesday after he had sent out a cryptic tweet to his mom. Over the holiday weekend, Karageorge was nowhere to be seen until Sunday when his body was found at a dumpster.
On Monday, Kosta Karageorge body was found at a dumpster close to Courtland and 6th avenue by a mom and her son. They were sifting through waste when they found the lifeless body of the Ohio State University tackler.
According to initial investigations done on Kosta Karageorge body, the 22-year old had shot himself. Found beside his lifeless body was a handgun. Foul play has not been suspected. Kosta Karageorge body was identified due to the tattoos found. The tattoos matched those of the Ohio State player.
"At this time, there's a lot of questions that we're still trying to work out," says Sgt. Rich in a report by ESPN, adding, "But he was found inside of the dumpster, the handgun was found inside of the dumpster with him. At this time we are able to confirm through tattoos here at the scene that it is the body of Kosta Karageorge."
After Kosta Karageorge body was found, a vigil was held at the Ohio State Oval. Members of the wrestling team had only good stories to share about the late Karageorge. To those he had left behind at Ohio State, Karageorge was a big guy with an equally big heart who raised the spirits of the people around him.
Kosta Karageorge body will be examined by coroners, specifically the defensive lineman's brain, as his mother claims his son had extreme bouts of confusion due to concussions he might have experience during wrestling.
The coroner working on Kosta Karageorge body, Dr. Anahi Ortiz, says the study is a special examination wherein pathologists would study slides containing parts of the players' brain. This has not been conducted for other cases.
