PlayStation 4 Vs Xbox One: Microsoft Outpaces Sony In Black Friday Deals

PlayStation 4 vs Xbox One comparison apparently has Microsoft in the lead. Microsoft's strategy, which is pretty aggressive, to say the least, is expected to be in full operations for the holiday season.

Xbox One has largely outpaced PlayStation 4 from Sony in the recent Black Friday sales. These data are according to the statistics gathered by efficient sales and research firm, InfoScout. Xbox One accounted for 53% of the console sales during the highly awaited Black Friday fever, whereas the PlayStation 4 only got 31% of the market.

The Chief of InfoScout stated on the company's blog site, "The majority of console consumers were in the giving mood on Friday as 80% purchased the item as a gift, though, 10% of those admitted it would likely get pulled out from under the tree before Christmas."

InfoScout arrived at this conclusion after their staff checked the receipts of more than 182,000 people who made a purchase for a game console unit on Black Friday.

The PlayStation 4 vs Xbox One match might have been swayed by Microsoft's previous announcement regarding a massive discount for the latter game console. Apparently, it turns out that Microsoft has already prepared a huge discount on their Xbox One units ahead of the holiday season.

The company decided to sell the Xbox One for only $330, compared to a much more expensive $400 price tag of Sony's PlayStation 4. Such huge off-price sales were completed at big retailers across the country, such as Walmart and Target.

Apart from the smart move to make an earlier announcement, Microsoft also created game console bundles. There were some very exciting title bundles on the racks that, surely, were one of the first things that sold out during the Black Friday fever.

Microsoft packaged Xbox One units with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Unity. Avid gamers most certainly had their sights set on this one, giving the company the PlayStation 4 vs Xbox One lead that it craved for.
