A Georgia boy, missing for nearly four years now, has finally been found and has since reunited with his family.
According to USA Today, the missing Georgia boy, 13, was found in a Jonesboro home, where he was kept hidden behind a "false wall" most of the time.
Police said they rescued the boy on Saturday and arrested the boy's father and four more people.
Prior to the arrests, Clayton County, Georgia had to inspect the Jonesboro home twice in search of the boy, who had fortunately made contact with his mother via a smartphone.
It wasn't immediately made clear how and where the missing Georgia boy got the smartphone he initially used to contact his sister online.
Police Capt. Angelo Daniel told the media that after the boy contacted his sister, the latter relay everything to their mother, who quickly informed the authorities on the possible location of her missing son.
People living inside the Jonesboro home denied that the missing boy was staying there during the first welfare check late Friday night, said Police Sgt. K.T. Hughes.
Fortunately, after their failed first attempt to find the boy inside the home, the police department received another call from the mother, who said that her son was able to call her again and revealed that he was being kept inside a false wall, reports NBC News.
"While at the location during the second call, the victim was able to establish phone contact with his mother and she in turn passed on additional information to the officers on the scene," Hughes said. "The victim was found behind a false wall within the residence."
The father of the missing Georgia boy and the other four people inside the house were then arrested.
The father - identified as Gregory Jean - and a woman named Samantha Joy Davis, 42, are facing charges of "false imprisonment, cruelty to children and obstruction of justice," ABC News has learned.
According to neighbors, the family living inside the questionable home moved their six months ago.
They also revealed that oftentimes, they saw the boy doing some yard work, but the adults in the house told them that the boy was homeschooled.
Local media has learned that the father of the boy refused to return the boy to his mother after a 2010 visit.
Meanwhile, after four years of being separated from his mother and sister, the three of them have reunited at 11 a.m. this morning.
He was placed under the custody of Georgia Division of Family and Children Services following his rescue.
