In Thailand's resort town of Cha-am, 32 teams of kite flyers from over twenty countries colored the sky with their unique creations.
Wind conditions were perfect for the annual festival, as participants guided their kites in the air. While it's not a competition, people were keen to display their craftsmanship and creativity.
But U.K. resident Bob Cruikshanks took the opportunity to make a political statement. He says, "The message to the people I think everybody knows and talks about global warming, recycling, taking care of our world and just treating everything and thinking about things before we doing things rationally."
The three-day festival attracts thousands of tourists to Cha-am.
