The intruder who had tried to barge into a Washington state home on Thanksgiving night certainly didn't expect to be treated with care. Mom in Edmonds shoots intruder after he reportedly banged on the front door and forced himself into the house. The woman, a 33-year old mother, had initially called 911 but with the cops still not in sight, she had armed herself.
"There were kids in the house, so she was protecting herself and she was scared and so she was doing what she could to protect her family," says Detective Sergeant Bob Barker of the Edmonds Police Department in a report by King5.
By the time the guy managed to get in, mom Edmonds shot intruder hitting him squarely in the abdomen. Cops rushed to the scene with the intruder in the front porch. First aid was quickly administered before he was rushed to the hospital. According to investigations, the man had reeked of alcohol. He has been identified as Nelson Petron, 22-years of age.
The mom Edmonds shoots intruder has yet to be identified. Reports claim she had acted in self-defence as there were three children inside the home at the time of the incident. Despite this, the intruder's older brother, Evan called it a foul move.
