Tyler Posey might be playing the role of a hero on "Teen Wolf" of MTV, but he gets the chance to thank his personal hero for Zoe Saldana's AOL show, "My Hero." The young actor visited his mother, who has long been battling breast cancer, and gave her what she has always wanted.
His "My Hero" episode has been scheduled to air on TV by midnight. Fans have already predicted that Tyler Posey's generous gift-giving experience with his mother will certainly bring tears to their eyes. This is perhaps why many of them have posted on social media that they will be having a lot of tissues handy as soon as they tune in.
The "Teen Wolf" star recently opened up about how he has coped up with his mother's illness. According to him, has found strength from his fans who have always been there to support him through thick and thin.
"My mom has been recently really open about what's going through. So, it was perfect," shared Posey. "It's awesome for her to know how much I love her."
Plus, the young actor has also been much more open about his mother's battle with cancer. He shared that he was not able to accept certain facts right away when they first found out about the diagnosis, which was around the same time when his highly watched show first aired.
"When I was younger, when we were first going through it, when I was 18, it was definitely hard, partly because I didn't want to accept it and I didn't want to talk about it," revealed Posey. "But, now, it's not second nature, but it's easier."
He then added, "It's nice being open because that opens doors for people to comfort you and share experiences with you. Sharing and being open about it is really a good thing."
Apart from Tyler Posey, Nick Cannon and Julianne Hough also opted to participate in Saldana's series.
