Charles Manson fiancée is a 26-year-old woman who has spent years and years trying to exonerate the infamous mass murderer. A marriage license was issued on November 7th in Kings County, California for the 80-year-old prisoner and Afton Elaine Burton, otherwise known as Star.
Although the couple now has a license to marry, they have not chosen a date for their wedding yet. However, the prison has already assigned a wedding coordinator so that someone skilled enough could handle the nuptials.
Charles Manson fiancé and Manson only have until early February to say their wedding vows to one another before they will have to re-apply.
Manson became internationally known for his conviction in the notorious murders during the 70s, including one murder case of seven people. Among the seven who were brutally murdered was the pregnant actress, Sharon Tate.
Because of the graveness of his criminal acts and the murders he was involved in, Manson was sentenced to prison in the California State Prison in Corcoran. Charles Manson fiancé, meanwhile, lives pretty close by to the prison. She also maintains several websites that advocate Manson's innocence.
Burton decided to leave her house and family in Illinois at only 19 years old so that she could live closer to the prison, where Manson has been living for the past 25 years. She even told the Associated Press that the wedding will most likely happen in December.
"Y'all can know that it's true," she said. "It's going to happen. I love him. I'm with him. There're all kinds of things." Although they have not been married yet, Burton already considers herself as his wife.
Manson is currently facing a life sentence. He will only be eligible to apply for parole by 2027, which means that he will be in his mid-90s by then.
