Previously on Scandal Season 4, we saw Olivia Pope resorting to extreme measures just so she could free Jake from custody. But it was all worth it when she discovers that it was Rowan, who ordered Jerry Jr.'s death. This week, things are going a little too intense when President Fitzgerald Grant agrees to form an alliance with ex-B613 agent Jake Ballard. Actress Darby Stanchfield recently gushed about the upcoming episode saying, "We first saw her backstory in Season 1, so we have been waiting a few seasons. Season 1 is when Abby is upset with how Olivia is handling a case that has to do with domestic violence in a marriage. Abby challenges Olivia and brings up Charles. He broke my jaw and threw me out in the snow. Ever since then I have been dying to know 'Who is this guy? What is it going to be like if they ever see each other again. So a lot of my questions were answered."
