Mark Wahlberg 60-pound loss - Celebrities are known to dedicate themselves to their films most especially when it comes to the physical requirement of their characters. For Mark Wahlberg, after bulking up for "The Transformers" film, he had to lose weight for his film "The Gambler." Obviously, losing weight wasn't exactly easy.

After bulking up for the film "Transfomers," Wahlberg had to lose weight in only four months for his role in "The Gambler." While losing weight isn't exactly easy, Wahlbarg managed to do it. However, Mark Wahlberg's 60-pound loss wasn't entirely healthy.

"Once I get into it I can't stop, so it's a 24 hour, 7 days a week thing," explains Wahlberg in an interview with US Magazine. "I stopped eating food for the first 6 weeks and just had small liquids throughout the day, then I was exercising two or three times a day."

Director Rupert Wyatt wanted Wahlberg's character, Jim Bennett, to be "thin as possible." Obviously, Wyatt got what he wanted with Mark Wahlberg's 60-pound loss. Yet, even with successfully losing weight for the film, Wahlberg just couldn't stop. It reached a point that his lips started to turn blue that the studio started to complain about his unhealthy condition.

While Mark Wahlberg's 60-pound loss is a sign of dedication that has been praised by his fans, his wife and kids found the weight loss act extremely disturbing. Wahlberg shared that his kids were "freaked out" and that his daughter even commented on his physique stating he should simply "quit his job."

Though Mark Wahlberg 60-pound loss isn't one for the books with his kids, the actor claims his kids desperately want to watch all his films including "Ted."
