Norman Reedus Net Worth: How Much Is This 'Walking Dead' Star Worth Since Hit Show Began Earning Millions From Ad Revenue?

Is Norman Reedus' net worth really in whopping millions because of AMC's hit zombie apocalypse-themed series "The Walking Dead?"

Well, it's actually both a yes and a no. Norman Reedus' net worth is indeed in whooping millions, like right now Celebrity Net Worth lists his wealth at $8 million.

On the other hand, it's a no because Reedus apparently earns $80,000 per episode of the hit series.

Plus, most of his wealth is said to have come from his hard work as a television and movie actor, as well as a professional model.

In terms of his movie credits, this Hollywood, Florida-native has appeared in numerous projects including "Mimic," "8MM," "Dark Harbor," "The Boondock Saints," "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day," "Blade 2," "Gossip," "Cadillac Records" and "The Notorious Bettie Page," among others.

On the other hand, Norman Reedus' net worth also gained a boost all thanks to his television show appearances, such as in "Charmed" and "Law and Order: SVU."

Apart from his acting career, Reedus also did well in professional modeling. He has even modeled for Prada, Durban and Alessandro Dell'Acqua.

Interestingly, because of the success of "Walking Dead," several rumors surfaced that Norman Reedus' net worth and the wealth of his co-actors had a major leap early this year.

However, the alleged salary raise has been slammed as nothing more than just rumors, reports Design & Trend.

"The series is a cash cow for AMC and the cast sees very little of that money," the publication quoted an insider.

As per the show's TV ratings, "The Walking Dead" is regarded as one of the most watched drama series in basic cable history. It has set the bar high by having 16.1 million viewers.

Despite the show's success, the entire cast reportedly earns really low salaries compared to actors of long-running shows that do not have a strong following.

"Everyone from Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) and Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) down to Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene), Danai Gurira (Michonne) and Steven Yeun (Glenn Rhee) feel they deserve a boost in pay," a source said, adding that lead actor Andrew Lincoln receives $90,000 per "Walking Dead" episode.

"That may seem like a lot, until you consider that Ashton Kutcher makes $750,000 an episode for 'Two and a Half Men,'" the source noted.

Given the fact that "Walking Dead" is raking $11 million per episode from ad revenue, it is actually fitting to give the cast of the show a salary raise.

"The cast would like a piece of that pie," the same source said. "And they're willing to band together to do it, just like the 'Friends' cast did before they got their record-setting $1 million an episode deal... Any one of their characters could end up getting killed at any time. But they're willing to take that risk now. And if they don't get their way, they're going to walk!"
