Katie Holmes Thanksgiving Plans To Host Her First Ever Thanksgiving Dinner [VIDEO]; ‘The Giver’ Actress Admits She Does Not Know How To Cook The Turkey

Katie Holmes Thanksgiving plans involve hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for the first time ever. With the special day creeping up on her calendar, the former "Dawson's Creek" actress shared that she has already ordered her turkey.

The actress of "The Giver" opted to order a 15-pound turkey to feed six people. "Is that too much?" she asked. Letterman then answered, "I don't know that it's enough. I would have gone with 20 pounds." Holmes just laughed at her naivety.

Although the might have gotten a bit of a headway with her turkey plans, she admitted that she is still not sure about how she is going to cook it. She told David Letterman when she appeared on "The Late Show" that her mother was going to teach her how to prepare a full Thanksgiving feast.

"I'm very excited because I'm the baby of five, and I've been using that for a long time, but this year, I'm taking responsibility and my mother's going to teach me how to make a turkey," Katie Holmes Thanksgiving plans told Letterman.

She then added while laughing, "I am going to pull the gizzards out."

The actress used to be married to the "Mission Impossible" actor, Tom Cruise, from 2006 to 2012. They have an eight-year-old daughter, Suri, who looked very stunning in a short silver dress that was low cut. Suri Cruise was sitting next to her amazingly beautiful mother during the interview with Letterman.

The talk show host also tried to help the actress in her Katie Holmes Thanksgiving plans by giving her some turkey-cooking tips as well. He said, "Turkey is easy. You're going to roast it, right?" Holmes seemed to have been a bit flummoxed by this question as she replied, "Well, I don't know. Is that what you do?"

Letterman then proceeded, "A lot of people boil it in hot oil. I wouldn't recommend that." Holmes then added, "Deep fried is so good. Ugh! It's so good!"
