Army Vet Shot Homecoming - A 21-year-old Army veteran was unfortunately gunned down during a supposed-to-be meritorious homecoming party now that he has returned after getting deployed in Afghanistan.
According to Army vet shot homecoming reports, the 21-year-old was identified as Franciso Garcia who had recently survived the battle in Afghanistan only to be killed in his own county, specifically in Sylmar, Loss Angeles, reports Daily Mail.
Garcia was reportedly gunned down in the very early hours of Sunday morning while he walking at a sidewalk during a homecoming party that was thrown for him by his girlfriend.
Insiders say Garcia was just on his way to another party location when two still unidentified men pulled up in a car after a dispute at the house where the homecoming party was celebrated.
As pert a detailed report on what happened that time the Army vet was shot in a homecoming party, it was revealed that one of the unnamed man shot Garcia using a hand gun that was given to him by the other man.
It appears Francisco was the target of the attack," Lt. Paul Vernon said. "Apparently, a simmering dispute had boiled over during the night, and this suspect came looking for Francisco. Figuring out the dispute should lead us to the shooter."
Authorities said that in order for them to have a good lead in identifying the killers of the Army vet they need to know the nature of the earlier dispute first.
Detectives said Garcia apparently passed away at the scene from an apparent gun shot.
"Figuring out the dispute should lead us to the shooter," said Mission Detective Division, Lt. Paul Vernon. "To survive as a soldier in an overseas conflict, only to be killed in your old neighborhood upon your return."
Meanwhile, friends of the Army vet shot at the homecoming party said that Garcia was actually hoping to join the California Highway Patrol after he got discharged from the Army due to a shoulder injury/
Many of his friends also took to Facebook to send out their condolences to the young Army veteran, noted NBC Los Angeles.
"I can't believe the news that I just heard. I just don't understand. Such a nice person. My heart goes out to your family," wrote a TIffany Corisdale.
"May you rest in peace with all the brothers and sisters up In heaven. Love you and miss you Franky," a Jaira Rodriguez tweeted.
""My heart was struck when he would go abroad to serve our country and then come back to die on our streets," Fellow Army veteran Lonny Potter said. "It's gut-wrenching. No veteran should ever have to face that."
He was really outgoing, he was really friendly," said Garcia's friend, Maddy Meraz. "I don't know why this would happen to him. I know he really wanted kids, too. He told me he wanted kids when he came back."
