A Ravens cheerleader's fall has caused her some time off from practicing and performing with her Baltimore Ravens team as she is still currently recuperating from the repercussions of the devastating incident that took place during the Ravens' game against Tennessee Titans at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
The Baltimore Ravens cheerleader's fall was said to be a product of a botched team stunt on Sunday, reports NBC Sports.
Following the quick incident, the woman was reportedly carted off the field and rushed to the hospital for her injuries.
Sources said the Baltimore Ravens cheerleading team was in the middle of performing a stunt where the cheerleader was supposed to be thrown up in the air and to land gracefully with the help of her teammates when the accident happened.
Unfortunately, it didn't go that way for her and her team. Instead, the Ravens cheerleader fell into the ground with her neck and head landing first.
As per the statement from a hospital spokesman however, the Ravens cheerleader was treated for head, back and neck injuries before she was sent home.
The teenager, whom the team declined to identify to the media, is said to be recuperating at home as of late, with no other details on whether or not she will be back for her team once her injuries are healed.
Nevertheless, the team's spokesperson said that the injured Ravens cheerleader is already doing well and that she even managed to walk out of the hospital after being treated for her wounds.
This is of course a positive note given that after her fall, she was purely unresponsive for several minutes while medical personnel came rushing to her side on the field, according to Colorado News Day.
Photographer Rob Carr, who was covering the game and taking pictures of the event even gushed that the still unnamed Ravens cheerleader who fell during a routine stunt was hyperventilating and crying while she was unable to move.
People, who saw the terrible incident when the Ravens cheerleader fell to her neck and head quickly, took to Twitter to voice out their concern and prayers.
"Everyone please pray for a Ravens cheerleader. I just watched her get put in the air and then dropped on her neck, and it's pretty serious," a Madison Kirk wrote.
"Serious thoughts and prayers out to the Ravens cheerleader who was seriously injured after being dropped on her neck during one of the stunts," a Connor Sauer tweeted.
"Cheerleader bounces off her head, medics on scene, but game goes on!" shocked fan Eliza Graham took to Twitter just a few minutes after the incident.
