Macaulay Culkin 2014 has, once again, become the victim of an online death hoax. According to the false reports, the "Home Alone" star was found dead in his Manhattan apartment.
The troubled actor was, at one point, was reportedly entrenched in heroin addiction. It was because of this that his friends and family were afraid that he would not be able to live longer. Still, Culkin has been able to evade the grim reaper.
News that Macaulay Culkin 2014 was dead quickly spread on social media sites, such as Twitter and Facebook. Users who talked about the actor's death provided a link to the report that discussed his death.
The false report said, "Sources are reporting that Macaulay Culkin, best known for his role as Kevin McCallister in 'Home Alone' and sequel 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York' has been found dead at the age of 34."
"Multiple unconfirmed reports say Culkin was found dead Friday afternoon in his Manhattan apartment after police responded to a wellness check requested by a family member," continued the report. "At least one occupant of the Manhattan apartment confirmed the apartment belongs to Culkin but police have not confirmed the man's identity at this time."
The report then added, "'The apartment was exceptionally clean and we found no signs of abuse or foul-play so we are depending on the coroner to make a final ruling of what happened here today,' said Detective James Patterson of the Manhattan Police Department."
It has actually been only several months since the former child star was the subject of a previous celebrity death hoax. He was falsely reported to be dead back in April. As always, those who immediately believed such reports without doing further research were quick to mourn the death of their idol. Some even put up a memorial page in honor of Macaulay Culkin 2014.
