Keira Knightley was left embarrassed when she was not made aware that the title of her movie was changed. The 29-year-old "Begin Again" star was mortified when she denied that she was in the movie "Say When" when she was interviewed multiple times about it, not realizing that was actually the European name for the movie she stars in, "Laggies."
The title was changed to suit the interests of the film's audiences who live outside of the United States. Sadly, however, no one even cared enough to tell Keira Knightley. She said, "I didn't even realize it had had a name change here. It's called 'Laggies' in America because that's a term for people who are being a bit lazy."
She then added, "But, the guys over here went, 'But in England, nobody knows what that is.' And they don't. It's true. Because I didn't know either. So they changed it."
"They didn't tell me until really late, so I was doing all these interviews and being asked about this film called 'Say When' and I had no idea what it was and was going, 'I think you've got the wrong person, I wasn't in that.' But I am!"
Although this incident placed a lot of focus on the beautiful actress, what have really made her make headlines are her topless photos.
Posing topless has somehow become a political statement of late. Keira Knightley has also shared that her recent series of photographs were inspired by more than just fashion. The photo shoot with Patrick Demarcherlier was apparently her move to protest against today's unrealistic expectations on women, especially those who have their lives plastered in the public eye.
"I've had my body manipulated so many different times for so many different reasons, whether it's paparazzi photographers or for film posters," shared Keira Knightley. "That shoot was one of the ones where I said, 'Okay. I'm fine doing the topless shot so long as you don't make them any bigger or retouch.' Because it does feel important to say it really doesn't matter what shape you are."
