‘Mary Tyler Moore Show’ Actor’s Death: Richard Schaal Dies at 86

"Mary Tyler Moore Show" actor, Richard Schaal's death confirmed by his daughter, Wendy Schaal.

The entertainment industry currently grieves over the loss of one of the talented entertainers in the country. According to the recent report, the veteran actor has passed away on Tuesday at Motion Picture and Television Fund home in Woodland Hills, Calif. He died at the age of 86 years old.

Before the actor's death on Tuesday, he was first known for his roles in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show". In the said show, he reportedly portrayed the role of Howard Arnell, an annoying former boyfriend of Mary Richards and his twin brother, Paul. He also played several more roles in the show's spin-offs such as the "Rhoda," wherein he was known as Charlie Burke and in "Phyllis," where he played Leo Heatherton.

The 86 year-old veteran star was also known for his appearances in different films. In 1966, he reportedly worked with the feature film "The Russians Are Coming the Russians Are Coming" and "Slaughterhouse-Five" in 1972. Aside from that, he also reportedly landed different regular roles in ABC sitcom "Just Our Luck" and on the CBS dramas "Trapper John", "M.D." and "Almost Grown".

Aside from having different roles in the public, he was also famously known for his comedic skills. He is a member of the famous Chicago group, the Second City wherein he practiced his amazing skills in sketch and improvisational comedy. "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" actor was previously married to actress Valerie Harper in 1964, but also divorced in 1978. He was also married to Lois Treacy where he had a daughter, Wendy, the one who confirmed his death to the public.

The exact reason behind the sudden death of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" talent remains undisclosed to the eyes of the public.
