Man Eaten Alive By Anaconda - A wildlife expert by the name of Paul Rosolie is going to get inside a snake by wearing a custom-made "snake-proof" suit, all for a new TV special for the Discovery Channel, airing Sunday, Dec. 7. The show by Discovery Channel demonstrating a man eaten alive by anaconda is called "Eaten Alive."
"Eaten Alive" is a show starring the 30-year-old filmmaker doing a variety of stunts with animals.
Though the network has not yet made any official announcement about the episode of the man eaten alive by anaconda, it did start running promos during a previous stunt to get viewers watching out for their next extreme challenge, according to People.
"Naturalist and wildlife filmmaker Paul Rosolie enters the belly of an anaconda in a custom-built snake-proof suit," stated a page on Discovery's website.
A trailer for the show featuring the man eaten alive by anaconda was already posted to YouTube Wednesday, Nov. 5. However, it still gave no clue as to what exactly the viewers could expect, reports Us Magazine.
"We're heading into a unique ecosystem that no one's ever explored before," said a voiceover while Rosolie and his team trekked through the wilderness trying to find the snake.
"We're gonna get me inside the snake," narrated Rosolie. "We're gonna make me as appealing as possible, so the snake just says, 'Well, I got this big thing here. I might as well get a free meal.'"
Apparently, Rosolie hopes to get the public's attention on the massive snakes and a "unique eco-system that no one has explored before."
Rosolie also teased viewers about the episode of the man eaten alive by anaconda via Twitter saying, "If u know me - I would never hurt a living thing. But you'll have to watch #EatenAlive to find out how it goes down!"
"We're gonna make me as appealing as possible just so the snake just goes, Well, I've got this big thing here. I might as well just get a free meal," said Rosolie, who is author of the book "Mother of God; An Extraordinary Journey into the Uncharted Territories of the Western Amazon."
Meanwhile, the Mirror has mentioned that there are still several unanswered questions when it comes to "snake-proof" suits. The publication suggests that it wouldn't be possible for a human to be protected from the power of a snake's jaw, in this case, an anaconda's constriction.
Rosolie, the man eaten alive by anaconda, is reportedly known for spending most of his time around dangerous situations. One time, he travelled with poachers into the jungle to document their illegal trade of endangered species.
Anacondas' existence is now threatened by hunting and habitat destruction. Usually found in South America, they can grow to as long as 6.6 metres. They are also known to live in or near water, and they eat prey by suffocating them through constricting their bodies around their food, according to Mirror.
Anacondas' menu includes a wide variety of animals such as fish, birds, deer, crocodiles and tapirs. Once they subdued their prey, they will try to swallow it whole.
Though uncommon, there have reportedly been several cases wherein anacondas have attacked people while they were researching the snakes. A medium-sized anaconda which measured around 3.5 metres is allegedly strong enough to overpower a human.
Entertainment Weekly reported that a similar show of a man eaten alive by a snake had been in the works at another broadcast network. However, that show never aired.
