Amanda Knox Latest News 2014: Murder Convict Works As Newspaper Reporter

Latest news about Amanda Knox reveals that she's currently working as a freelance reporter while found guilty in January 2014.

The 27 year-old American woman has gained constant attention from the media since 2007 when the news about the murder of Meredith Kercher, her roommate, happened in Italy. She and her boyfriend at that time, Raffaele Sollecito along with another person identified as Rudy Guede became the primary suspects to the case of Kercher. The case has been widely-publicized and several documentaries have been made regarding the said murder.

After spending four years in prison in Italy, Amanda Knox and Sollecito were freed in October 2011 after their second appeal. The former foreign student then returned to the U.S. to live a normal life. According to the latest news about the former convicted murderer, she is now working as a freelance reporter in a local newspaper, the West Seattle Herald.

According to an article from The Guardian, Patrick Robinson, the web editor of the West Seattle Herald, said that the former creative writing student has been offered with the said job as they want her to have a chance of living a normal life. The latest news also said that Robinson claims that Amanda Knox is a bright and a highly qualified writer after seeing her writing samples. He also insists that the newspaper hired her on merit and that they want her to experience to be an actual human being and not as a celebrity.

The latest news about the West Seattle resident also reveals that she's currently facing another possible imprisonment. A re-trial started in September 2013 after Italy's highest criminal court set aside the judgment of the trial of the second degree. In January 2014, Amanda Knox and Sollecito were found guilty of the said crime. She was sentenced to serve 28 ½ years in prison while her lawyer said that she will appeal in the Supreme Court of Italy.
