Brad Halsey's cause of death is yet to be revealed as of late, but USA Today has already reported that the former MLB pitcher passed away after getting into a recreational climbing accident last Friday, Oct. 31.
Just this Tuesday, Nov. 4, the Major League Baseball pitcher, born Bradford Alexander Halsey, was confirmed to have died at the age of 33, Us Weekly has learned.
His agency O'Connell Sports broke the news online via Twitter, prompting many baseball fans to send condolences and utter their disappointment over the sad news.
"We are sorry to hear of the passing of longtime client, Brad Halsey. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family during this difficult time," O'Connell Sports posted on Twitter.
While the agency and the family and friends of the professional athlete is yet to comment on the Brad Halsey's cause of death, USA Today has reported earlier that the 33-year-old got into a recreational climbing accident near his New Braunfels, Texas home.
Because of this, many speculated right away that the fall may have led to Halsey's demise a few days later.
Amid the mystery behind Brad Halsey's cause of death, the left-handed pitcher is cherished and remembered by his fans for playing for the New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks and Oakland Athletics.
"He was smart and funny and delightful to cover," noted Susan Slusser, who reportedly followed Brad's career with the San Francisco Chronicle.

After getting drafted by the Yankees in the eighth round in the 2002 draft out of the University of Texas, Brad Halsey spent three years in the majors, reports NBC Sports.
He played for the Yankees, Diamondbacks and A's from 2004 to 2006, and terminated his MLB career back in 2006.
Nevertheless, he continued to play in the minors through 2011.
