Driver hits pedestrians Jerusalem - 13 people have been wounded, two of which have been reported to be in critical condition, along with the death of one Israeli cop after a driver had ploughed his vehicle in Jerusalem's main street. The violent attack on the pedestrians didn't end with the vehicle as the driver reportedly started attacking onlookers with the use of a metal bar.
The driver hits pedestrians Jerusalem has been identified as Ibrahim al-Akri. Al-Akri is 38-years old and the reasons of his actions are yet to be determined. According to reports, the attack done by al-Akri is related to the militant Islamist group named Hamas. This was a "glorious operation" that followed the recent attack involving the death of a mother and child.

Eyewitnesses claim the driver had crossed the border between Mea Shearim and Sheikh Jarrah. Three out of the 14 individuals are in critical condition. All the injured individuals were taken to the Haddassah University Medical Center at Mount Scopus and Ein Karem. "A border policeman, taking the initiative, drew his weapon and eliminated the terrorist," stated the mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat.
