Teresa Giudice's net worth becomes controversial after being charged with several counts of bank fraud while waiting for her time to serve in prison.

The reality star together with her husband, Joe, recently became the hot topic in the industry after their controversial financial problems. Aside from their declaration of bankruptcy in 2009, the couple was also charged with bank fraud in July 2013 wherein they both pleaded not guilty. Aside from that, Joe was also charged with failure to file tax returns from 2004-2008.

After almost a year, the couple pleaded guilty in 41 counts of fraud on March 2014. While waiting for the court's verdict regarding their case, Teresa Giudice's net worth remains unclear while she's been also bombarded with controversies concerning her appearance in her reality show. Before the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" was renewed for its latest season, there were rumors claiming that she will no longer appear in the show.

On October 2014, the couple was reportedly sentenced to prison. Joe will serve a 41-month sentence while facing a huge possibility of deportation to Italy while his wife will serve 15 months. The court also allowed the couple to serve their sentence separately so that one of them will be able to stay with their children.

According to earlier reports, Teresa Giudice's net worth is estimated at about $11 million while there is still a possibility that it could eventually decline and that they may even have additional financial troubles since they are still required to pay about $13 million. Another recent issue concerning the couple is believed to be the issue of divorce. According to RadarOnline, Joe's wife reportedly met up with a lawyer to talk about divorce; however, no progress about the issue has been revealed.

Aside from being a reality star, Teresa Giudice is also known as an author of three best-selling cookbooks. Her entrepreneurial skills mainly contributed in her net worth to reach millions.
