Angelina Jolie talks about her marriage with Brad Pitt in the December 2014 issue of Vanity Fair.
The couple of nine years recently shocked Hollywood when their surprise wedding was revealed. After having six kids, three were adopted and three were biological, the couple's decision to the knot has been a long wait. In her interview with the magazine, the actress also revealed how her kids have become a huge part of their nuptials.
On August 23, Jolie and Pitt said their "I do's" to each other in a civil ceremony which took place in the chapel of their very own estate in France. In previous reports, the couple reportedly shared the day of their marriage with the special people in their lives especially their kids. The actress said that their kids who have been their constant motivator to tie the knot also helped them in writing their wedding vows.
"They did not expect us never to fight, but they always made us promise to say 'sorry' if we do. So they said, 'Do you?,' and we said, 'We do!'" the actress recalled.
Aside from the wedding vows, the couple's kids also take part in their marriage ceremony. Their child, Knox, reportedly practiced being a ring bearer before the big day while Pax made the cake. Despite of the pair's worldwide fame, the Jolie-Pitt clan preferred to have a low-key wedding which they shared only with close family members. About two dozen people were said to be present in the couple's significant event.
The "Maleficent" star also revealed how she feels now that she's already Mrs. Pitt. According to Jolie, being married to her partner for nine long years feels different.
"It feels nice to be husband and wife," she said about her marriage.
Before tying the knot in August, the famous Hollywood couple first met on the set of "Mr. &Mrs. Smith" in 2005 and are currently working in a romantic film, "By The Sea".
