Malaysia Airlines face first ever lawsuit since the sudden disappearance of flight MH370 on March 8, 2014.
According to the latest update regarding the great mystery in aviation history, two underage children of one of the passengers on board are suing the government of Malaysia, particularly its civil aviation authorities as well as the airline company for breach of contract and negligence. The lawsuit, which was filed at the Kuala Lumpur High Court cites that jetliner's company failed to ensure a safe flight to their passengers while alleging that officials of the government exhibit a breach of duty during the incident.
Lawyer Gary Chong files the complaint in behalf of Jee Kinson, 13, and Jee Kinland, 11, the underage sons of Jee Jing Hang, a passenger of the flight MH370. According to Mr. Chong, the family seeks for damages for the loss of support after the unexplained disappearance of the aircraft wherein their father boarded. It can be recalled that flight MH370 with 239 people was en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur, lost contact with air traffic control several moments before it took off.
Despite of other reports suggesting that the case will not be easy and that its success remains uncertain, the family's legal team believes that the lawsuit filed will be dealt with fairly. The government of Malaysia is reportedly having an airline crisis after two of its aircrafts have been involved in major disasters. Aside from the MH370, flight MH17 crashed after being allegedly shot down by a missile in Ukraine while killing all 298 passengers on board.
While the progress of the lawsuit still can't be predicted, no further updates have been released to the public regarding the ill-fated jetliner. Despite of the ongoing extensive search operation, no debris of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is reportedly recovered.
