A man's dog helps police bust him in central Alabama Tuesday. The man was being busted on a drug charge at his 1622 County Road 85 home, and he would have gotten away, had it not been for a loyal dog that was willing to find him and follow him anywhere.
According to Prattville police, the man's dog helps police bust him, a suspected meth manufacturer. He was arrested later when the dog found him.
Paula Barlow, spokeswoman for the Prattville Police said the man's name is Edward Melvin Henderson. Henderson ran away from two drug officers Wednesday as they pulled up to the residence and tried to serve a search warrant on Henderson's home.
Henderson fled on foot by the rear of the residence, which was about a 25-foot ravine. He jumped off the ravine but the man's dog helps police bust him. The dog's name is Bo, reports the Associated Press.
Bo was a mixed breed of Pit Bull and Huskie. He came running up to investigators as they approached the ravine to locate Henderson.
Henderson jumped into a ravine behind his house, but Bo was able to follow Henderson quickly, according to Barlow.
Bo followed his master and the man's dog helps police bust him after an investigator pointed at Henderson and told the dog to "go get him." Bo did exactly what he was told, and he followed his master and led officers to him while he was hiding. Henderson was last seen heading towards a wooded area.
Barlow said Bo followed his fleeing master as he was being pursued by the drug officers. She added that when the canine chased Henderson, the dog was immediately followed by the two Prattville Drug Enforcement Unit investigators, according to My Fox Chicago.
At first, the two investigators went out of the woods attempting to locate the man, and then they found that Bo had located Henderson.
Bo, the man's dog, helps police bust him while he was lying in tall grass. Henderson was arrested after the investigators reportedly saw the dog stop in front of the grass and wagged his tail. Henderson was taken into custody without further incident.
The officers found Methamphetamine and components from a Meth Lab in Henderson's home.
According to Barlow, Henderson has been charged with failure to obey police, 2 counts of unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
It is unknown whether the man's dog, Bo, who helped police bust him is being taken care of. It is also unclear if Henderson has an attorney.
