Jennifer Lopez Instagram star has opened up in a new memoir, True Love. JLo wrote about a period of self-discovery that she went through when she had her first world tour back in 2012, implying in the text that not all abuse leaves physical scars.
The "Jenny from the Block" singer initially intended for this recent project "to be a fan book, a diary of the years I went on tour." However, the result came out as a tool for her the star to "face a lot," as she has revealed to PEOPLE magazine.
Some of the things that Jennifer Lopez Instagram star talked about in her memoir were her experiences with her past beaus. "I've never gotten a black eye or a busted lip," shared JLo. "But, I've felt abused in one way or another, mentally, emotionally, verbally."
The 45-year-old pop star does not name particularly who she was referring to. She also does not say anything about whether or not she was physically hurt in the past. According to her, it was her intention to be vague about the details in her book. She said, "I would never go into specifics about my relationships, and I don't. But, the idea was that I learned something."

Looking back on all of her previous relationships, she claims that she has learned to "take care of myself and know my worth."
"When things are not working out, and you're not being treated in a way that you want to be treated, you have to look at that because it's nobody's fault but yours," Jennifer Lopez Instagram star revealed. "You have to take control and you have to set up your own boundaries. You have the power to change it."
