Art and Architectuere Worthy of a Fairy Tale: Prague

Prague is a wondrous city that has the surroundings of an old fairy tale; it even has a castle to prove it. It is the perfect place to visit for any traveler looking for unique and beautiful architecture. The architecture displays a few of the different styles that were popular anywhere from hundreds to a thousand years ago such as, gothic and rococo. Unlike a lot of other European cities, all of these buildings have been well maintained over the years and still stand strong through the test of time.

The reason that many of the other European cities were not able to maintain their architecture as well is because of the destruction of the World Wars, primarily World War II. Luckily, Prague was spared from the wreckage. During the war, Prague underwent nearly no damage from bombs and destruction because Hitler wanted Prague for himself, so he ordered to leave it alone. It is such a beautiful city that even an evil person was enchanted by it.

Other than castles and architecture, Prague also features an obscure famous artist, Franz Mucha, who is the most famous Czech artist. Most of the exhibits display his commercial collections that he completed throughout his career. A multitude of them are amazing and fluid paintings of gorgeous women with long flowing hair that appears as if they came out of a Disney movie. Which is only fitting for a fairy tale city.

There is also the highlight of art in Prague, which is the collection that Mucha created after he retired, the Epic Slav. This collection was his masterpiece that he had to express in the final years of his life. It includes about twenty expertly crafted paintings each one the size of a wall. They are unique and magical and all very different from each other. Mucha's talent is apparent in all of his work, which is visible in many different exhibits scattered throughout Prague.

The art and architecture in Prague is something that every art lover should witness with their own eyes during their lifetime.
