Brantley Gilbert engaged once again only a little over a year after his high-profile engagement to Jana Kramer ended. The 29-year-old Georgia native revealed that he is presently engaged to a girl from his hometown, someone he has known for 10 years.
"It was one of those things that was on and off for few years - mostly on - and then she was the one that got away for about five years," Gilbert said on the syndicated country radio program "The Bobby Bones Show" on Tuesday morning.
Brantley Gilbert engaged then added, "It came back around and I've never been happier. This little one, she's the one, and I'm a pretty stoked dude. I'm pretty excited, to say the least."
Gilbert, who is presently busy with his Let It Ride tour, admitted that this new fiancé off his was actually a long-time muse in his music. "I met this little girl 10 years ago. You'll hear her in most of my songs," the singer said, referring to his 2012 hit, "More Than Miles."
The song's lyrics that Brantley Gilbert engaged was referring to were, "'Cause that girl's in every song I sing / She's in every song I write / And that six-string ridin' in her seat / Won't keep me warm tonight."
Sadly, however, he did not reveal the name of his wife-to-be, but he did share that she is a teacher. He said, "She teaches schools about a mile up the road from my house, and it's an awesome thing. She loves to teach."
This will be the second engagement for Brantley Gilbert engaged. He used to be engaged to "Love" singer, Jana Kramer, but decided to break it off just last year. Since calling it off, the "Small Town Throwdown" has been keeping mum about his personal life and chose to let his songs tell his story for him.
