Denver Girls ISIS: FBI Reviewing Evidence Against Three Girls Believed To Be Heading To Syria To Join Islamic State Militants: Report

Denver Girls ISIS - At least three girls from Denver have been denied their right to travel after authorities found out that they were heading to Syria via Turkey. The FBI is looking into evidence that could prove the girls' intention of joining the Islamic State militants.

In what seemed to be a bizarre thing to do given the on-going attacks against certain parts of Syria where the Islamic State militants are residing, three Denver girls - all teenagers - have reportedly attempted to head to Turkey en route to Syria to be one with the fight of the ISIS militants.

According to The Guardian, the Denver girls comprised two siblings, ages 17 and 15, and their 16-year-old friend. The names of the girls have not been revealed yet, but investigators are already suspicious on the nature of their attempt to travel to Syria.

Authorities are reportedly looking into what sort of contacts they have in Syria and their prime motive on their brave move to head there despite the on-going cataclysm.

Investigators are also looking into the possibility that these Denver girls may have "like-minded" friends and acquaintances, who, just like them, also desire to join the militants.

It was found out that the siblings in the trio are of Somali descent while their friend is of Sudanese descent, as per a Denver Post report.

All three teenagers were stopped by authorities at Frankfurt airport in Germany over the weekend, and they were even sent back home to Colorado to reunite with their families.

The father of the siblings said in an interview with the media that his girls went missing after skipping their class on Friday, bringing with them their passports and a case of $2,000 in cash.

One of the officials working on the incident said that the Denver girls' attempt to join the ISIS group is something that does not only affect the community but the entire country as well.

After authorities stopped them at Frankfurt airport, the Denver girls were detained, questioned and were sent back to Denver, were they were further interrogated by the FBI, reports Daily Mail.

The girls claim that the main reason behind their gesture was "family" but they refuse to elaborate more on this. It's not clear whether the Denver girls will be facing charges.
