Woman stuck in chimney California is a story about a 30-year-old woman who happened to get stuck in a chimney while trying to break into a Southern California home.
According to People, the woman stuck in chimney California story took place on Sunday when the 30-year-old identified as Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa was heard crying inside the chimney by the neighbors of the household.
Firefighters were immediately prompted of the bizarre emergency situation and they were quick to respond to the scene, said Ventura County Fire Capt. Ron Oatman.
Woman stuck in chimney California reports state responding firefighters had to chisel away a part of the chimney and lubricate its sides with dish soap just so they can rescue Nunez-Figueroa.
She was reportedly placed in a Stokes basket and hoisted from the roof by a ladder truck, said VCFD Capt. Mike Lindbery.
While the rescue operation ended triumphantly, it's unfortunate that Nunez-Figueroa was arrested right away because authorities found out that she was attempting to do an illegal entry to the Thousand Oaks home, which as per a police report is owned by her friend, who was not at home at the time.
Apart from illegal entry, the Ventura County Star reports that she was also detained for giving false information to police, but the latter wouldn't elaborate more on the issue as of late.
Interestingly, a KTLA report on the woman stuck in chimney California story claims that Nunez-Figueroa was apparently having an affair with the owner of the home and it was found out that she had multiple dates with the owner recently.
The home owner, who wished not to be identified, said he met Nunez-Figueroa online and admitted to dating her for more than six times.
"Before you have somebody come in your house really check them out ... really give it some time before you let somebody in, because they might want to stay," he cautioned other people following the incident.
Meanwhile, prior to her arrest, the 30-year-old was taken to the Los Robles Hospital & medical Center for evaluation despite not having any visible injury out of the incident.
It isn't clear yet if she had hired an attorney for her case as she is not available for comment since Sunday's incident.
