Rocky Ford Colorado Shooting: Dozens Protest Following Deadly Shooting, Police Officer Sent On Paid Leave

Rocky Ford Colorado shooting - Over a hundred people have took to the streets in Rocky Ford following the death of Jack Jacques. Protests claim Jacques had been shot in the back by a Rocky Ford police officer. Friends and family of the victim are questioning the actions of the Rocky Ford police officer involved.

Justice is all that the family of the victim involved in the Rocky Ford Colorado shooting. Jack Jacques, aged 27, had been shot in the back leading to his demise. The police officer, James Ashby, has yet to state his take as to the reasons behind the shooting. Ashby has already been placed on paid leave following the Rocky Ford Colorado shooting.

"As friends and family of Jack we all want to know something, why. I'm not saying we're against all cops, because we're not, there are good cops out there," stated Lisa Jurado in a report by 9News.

The Rocky Ford police are said to be investigating the Rocky Ford Colorado shooting. However, the results of the investigation has been taking too long. Thus, protests have filled the streets of Rocky Ford with each protester demanding justice for Jack.

"We don't know the whole story as nobody does, but I just don't feel that its right for the police to be coming into people's homes. I hope the truth comes out and justice is served," stated Debbie Romero, a Rocky Ford resident in a report by KKTV.

The officer involved in the Rocky Ford Colorado shooting might have been placed on paid leave but that has not stopped investigations from pulling through. In addition to the Rocky Ford police investigations, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation is also on the case.

Details on the Rocky Ford Colorado shooting will be released by the 16th Judicial District Attorney's Office once available.
